Assault protective suit is designed to be used in the active combat zone and is the epitome of convenience and maximum protection area. All elements of the suit (neck, collarbone, torso (chest and back), shoulders, groin area and abdomen, hips, coccygeal area) have ballistic protection of class 1 DSTU 8782:2018 / IIIA NIJ 0101.06 (class 2 is optional).
The UKRTAC armor plates withstood a 9×18 pistol bullet (velocity 345±1 m/s) with a spherical head with a non-heat-strengthened steel core in a steel jacket, lined with tomahawk, 57-N-181s cartridge (Makarov pistol) and 9×19 Luger bullet (velocity 409±1 m/s) in a copper alloy all-metal shell with a hemispherical nose with a soft (lead) core, according to DSTU 8782:2018 “Personal protective equipment. Body armor.”, for the 1st class of protection. The depth of the out-of-plane deformation does not exceed 22 mm.
The ballistic component is in vacuum bags, which increases the service life and eliminates the effect of water hammer when wet. The total area of protection is 104 Dm2. Additionally, armor plates up to class 6 of DSTU 8782:2018 / IV NIJ 0101.06 are installed
All protective elements are fastened with D-rings and Velcro fasteners
Precautionary measures. Do not dry on surfaces and under conditions where the temperature exceeds 80 degrees Celsius (proximity to open flames, on stoves, etc.).
