The UKRTAC shoulder armor packs withstood a 9×18 pistol bullet (velocity 345±1 m/s) with a spherical head with a non-heat-strengthened steel core in a steel-in-steel jacket, lined with tomahawk, 57-H-181s cartridge (Makarov pistol) and 9×19 Luger bullet (velocity 409±1 m/s) in a full metal jacket made of copper alloy with a hemispherical nose with a soft (lead) core, according to DSTU 8782:2018 “Personal protective equipment. Body armor.”, for the 1st class of protection.
