Description

UT Light is a lightweight model of the UKRTAC body armor. It embodies a maximum number of improved features for the protection and comfort of fighters. It is a Ukrainian product that competes with the most famous foreign analogues. It can be additionally equipped with an RPS, groin protection, shoulder, neck protection, assault backpack, and ballistic helmet.

To activate the quick-release system, pull the ring on the upper part of the plate carrier. In the lower part, pull up or down. Increased size of the pocket for personal belongings. Separate fixation system for wires for a radio or a tube from a hydration system.

Armor plates of class 4 according to DSTU 8782:2018 “Lightweight Body Armor” of the Arsenal Patriot company undergo testing with a sharp-pointed bullet of caliber 5.54×39 with a steel thermally strengthened core in a steel jacket plated with tombac, of the 7N10 cartridge (velocity 910 ± 3 m/s, weight 3.6 g) and a sharp-pointed bullet of caliber 7.62×54 with a steel non-thermally strengthened core in a steel jacket plated with tombac, of the rifle cartridge 57-N-323s (velocity 850 ± 15 m/s, weight) from a distance of 10 ± 0.5 m.

The UKRTAC side protection armor package withstood a pistol bullet of caliber 9×18 (velocity 345 ± 1 m/s) with a spherical head part with a steel non-thermally strengthened core in a steel jacket plated with tombac, of the 57-N-181s cartridge (Makarov pistol) and a bullet of caliber 9×19 Luger (velocity 409 ± 1 m/s) in a solid metal jacket made of a copper alloy with a semi-spherical soft (lead) core, according to DSTU 8782:2018 “Personal Protective Equipment. Body Armor.” with regard to protection class 1. The depth of non-penetrating deformation does not exceed 22 mm.
