Description
UT4 is a UKRTAC body armor that incorporates the best protection and comfort features for soldiers. It is a Ukrainian product that competes with the most well-known foreign analogs. It can be additionally equipped with an RPS, groin protection, shoulder, neck protection, assault backpack, and ballistic helmet.
The plates of class 4 DSTU 8782:2018 “Lightweight armor” manufactured by the company “Arsenal Patriot” passed the test of firing with a steel-cored bullet caliber 5.54×39 in a steel shell, plated with tombac, of the 7N10 cartridge (velocity of 910±3 m/s, mass of 3.6 g), and a steel-cored bullet caliber 7.62×54 in a steel shell, plated with tombac, of the 57-N-323s cartridge (velocity of 850±15 m/s, mass) at a distance of 10±0.5 m.
The UKRTAC side protection armor pack withstood the firing of a 9×18 caliber pistol bullet (velocity of 345±1 m/s) with a spherical steel-cored head in a steel shell, plated with tombac, of the 57-N-181s cartridge (Makarov pistol), and a 9×19 Luger bullet (velocity of 409±1 m/s) in a solid metal shell made of copper alloy with a semi-spherical soft (lead) core, according to DSTU 8782:2018 “Personal protective equipment. Body armor.” for class 1 protection. The depth of penetration deformation does not exceed 22 mm.
